Στον πλανήτη Μπάαμπ, οι πάντες λατρεύουν τον αστροναύτη Σκορτς Σούπερνοβα. Πάντα πρώτος σε καθετί παράτολμο και πάντα με τη σιωπηλή συνοδεία του αδελφού του, Γκάρι, του «φυτούκλα» προϊσταμένου της BASA. Όταν η αρχηγός της BASA, η Λένα, προειδοποιεί τα αδέλφια για μια έκκληση βοήθειας από ένα διαβόητο επικίνδυνο πλανήτη, ο Σκορτς αγνοεί τις φοβίες του Γκάρι και ορμάει για μια νέα περιπέτεια. Όταν, όμως, αυτός βρίσκεται αιχμάλωτος στην περίφημη Περιοχή 51 του δικού μας πλανήτη, είναι στο χέρι του Γκάρι να τον διασώσει.

The story takes place on planet Baab where admired astronaut Scorch Supernova (Brendan Fraser) is a national hero to the blue alien population. A master of daring rescues, Scorch pulls off astonishing feats with the quiet aid of his nerdy brother, Gary (Rob Corddry), head of mission control at BASA.
